Barcelona is blessed with probably the best live salsa music scene in Europe, every week there are 3 or 4 concerts, there are various bands who are writing and recording their own music, carving out their own sound in the world of salsa today (Tromboranga, La Sucursal S.A., La Sonora Libre, Bloque 53, Sabor Y Son, Adjazzentes, Tamayo Salsa Orquesta, Lenin Güiroloco Jimenez, Joseph Derteano Latin Project to mention a few!).
